We’ve all laboured through spellings in school, so today we decided to have some fun with them. Besides solving puzzles and a game of trivial pursuit, The Senior Station conducted its very first Spelling Bee competition! There were heated discussions among the team members – ‘is playwright spelt as playwrite or the other way round, does harass have one s and two r’s, and is pronunciation really spelt as pronounciation. It’s amazing how these tricky words continue to fox us.
We had four new members today and they all received a warm welcome. It’s a small world indeed, because a member discovered that one of new comers was a childhood friend whom he hadn’t met in a while and was really happy to see. And Nihal, who had his birthday a few days ago, treated everyone to the most delicious brownies, which his wife had freshly baked. What a lovely Tuesday morning we had!
